Day 1: We arrived at the airport of Zhengzhou at sunset as the afternoon. Our guide Jenne, a beautiful young girl who was waiting for us and we were then escorted Tianzhong Dengfeng Hotel, a four star hotel with friendly service and facilities. Our first night in Dengfeng was super exciting.
Dengfeng, there is a great Shaolin Kung Fu performance with 3.000 stadium. The show takes place every evening at 08:00 hours when the weather permits. We were lucky that day with good weather and have had the chance to see.
Theatre Daxian Valley, southern suburb of Dengfeng City, is far from the Shaolin Temple and 7 km. This is no ordinary Kong Fu performance, but rely on the best directors and actors on stage, that we do this until it is through your eyes. The main scene is a valley and the mountains are placed vertically, with clear signs of proximity, the Middle and Far scenes. There are rivers, forests and bridges in the valley, all the factors for implementation. We can focus on prayer mats around the creek to sit in the wind, watching the water, listening to the music of Zen and to assess performance, with our mind relaxed and casual. This incredible performance is something that words can not describe. It is interesting to see.
2 Day we got up early, and our goal was definitely Shaolin Temple. The first interesting thing in the early hours of the day was to train thousands of students than to be seen on lawns. They are from different eras, the oldest is 70 and the youngest is only 5 or 6 years. But everyone seems so focused and serious. It is amazing to watch.
Long before my visit to China, I was told that all martial arts (Kung Fu) Shaolin were. The Shaolin Temple is my dream place. I think all fans of martial arts must be immediately inspired by the first sight of the Shaolin Temple. A beautiful old temple dyed red with green deviations wishes welcomes all visitors and the wide stone stairs, “Enter.” Above the entrance is a sign of “Shao Lin If” in Chinese characters. The board of directors with the golden inscription was written in the Qing Dynasty under Emperor Kangxi (1662-17721). We spent a whole morning in the atmosphere of the Chinese Kong Fu to feel in the temple.
There are many cultural relics of the Shaolin Temple. There are over 300 ancient inscriptions, some of them by famous calligraphers. The Pagoda Forest is a necessity in a tour to see the Shaolin Temple. There are 232 pagodas from different dynasties, and the oldest pagoda of the Tang Dynasty. The pagodas are the tombs of the famous Shaolin monks.
